Jaanwar progresses in Bombay
A ten-day shooting
spell of Suneel Darshan's Jaanwar is currently in progress at different locations in
Bombay wherein producer-director Suneel is completing the entire talkie portion as well as
the action scenes. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Karisma Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Mohnish
Bahl, Ashutosh Rana, Ashish Vidyarthy, Malay Chakraborty, Rami Reddy, Huma Khan, Johnny
Lever and Shakti Kapoor. The music is by Anand-Milind, lyrics by Sameer, action by Tinu
Verma. After this only two songs will be left to be picturised. The film is scheduled to
be released in August.
Hum To
Mohabbat Karega
Producer K P Singh and
director Kundan Shah completed another six-day shooting schedule for Hum To Mohabbat
Karega at Film City and Bhandup factory in Bombay. The lead pair of Bobby Deol and Karisma
Kapoor took part alongwith their co-stars Johnny Lever, Pramod Moutho, Raj Zutshi,
Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Dalip Tahil and Shakti Kapoor. Many dramatic and emotional scenes
were picturised. Music director Anu Malik recorded another song. The lyrics are by Majrooh
Sultanpuri, story and screenplay by Ranjeet Kapoor and Kundan Shah, cinematography by
Thomas A Xavier.

Chalo Ishq Ladaye
Three
songs for the movie Chalo Ishq Ladaye are being recorded from May 10 to 18 under music
director Himesh Reshamiya. The film is directed by Aziz Sejawal and stars Govinda, Rani
Mukerji, Mink, Shakti Kapoor, Zohra Sehgal, Ishrat Ali and Kader Khan. Lyrics are by
Sameer and is based on a screenplay by Yunus Sejawal and Ikram Akhtar.

Tabu was director Mahesh Manjrekar's first choice for the female protagonist in his new
film Astitva. Manjrekar says that, "It's the story of a regular housewife who
discovers her identity and Tabu is the person for this part." TV star Sachin Khedekar
has been cast opposite Tabu as her husband. Astitva is a Marathi-Hindi bilingual and the
director says that Tabu will be doing all of the Marathi lines herself. "She's going
to learn Marathi for my film," he proudly adds. Manjrekar also wants her to star
opposite Gurdass Mann is his frist Hindi flick, "She's one actress who can do justice
to this complicated role in our film," says Manjit Mann, the producer.

Dixit's favourite filmy dance number isn't Choli ke peechche and neither is it Ek do teen.
Her pick is Bada dukh dina from Ram Lakhan. "What makes this song ever so special for
me is that this is the first time Lataji gave me playback and also because it called for
semi-classical steps, which is just up my lane. I love to put my Kathak training to
practice. I deeply regret that the song didn't quite pick up," says Madhuri. If
